English Learner Advisor Committee
The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) is a school level elected committee of parents, staff and community members whose responsibility is to advise the principal in programs and services for Multilingual Learners.
The main functions of the ELAC committee are to:
- advise on the development of the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA)
- advise on the development of a site plan for English Learners
- review the school needs assessment
- review the importance of regular school attendance and advise the principal on strategies to support families
The ELAC elected representative participates in the District English Learner Committee (DELAC).
